What happens during a mobile grooming appointment?

We arrive at your home at the scheduled time, greet your dog and quickly confirm your preferences. Your dog then comes into our van for a one-on-one groom: bath, dry, brush, haircut if booked, nails and ears. When we're done, we walk your dog back to you and share any notes about coat, skin or paws.

  • Book: choose a service and time on our booking page or call (650) 441-9000
  • Arrive: our van parks in your driveway or in front of your home
  • Consult: a quick chat about style, length and sensitive areas
  • Groom: one-on-one grooming inside the van
  • Return: your dog comes back clean, calm and fluffy

What is inside the mobile grooming van?

Our van is a fully equipped mobile grooming salon. It includes a grooming tub, a sturdy grooming table, professional dryers, clippers, shears and brushes, and premium grooming products. It's clean, organized and comfortable, so your dog gets the same professional tools as a salon, with far fewer distractions.

Fully equipped van
A grooming van that carries everything needed for a complete professional groom, so the appointment can happen entirely at your home.

Because there's only one dog in the van at a time, the space stays calm. There are no other dogs barking, no line of dryers running and no kennels.

What do I need to provide?

Typically, you only need to provide a safe, level place for our van to park near your home and someone available to hand off and receive your dog. Our van is fully equipped. It also helps to walk your dog beforehand and let us know about any health, behavior or coat concerns.

  • A parking spot in your driveway or at the curb
  • Someone to hand off and receive your dog
  • Your dog walked and pottied before we arrive
  • Notes about health, allergies, sensitivities or behavior
  • Gate codes or building access details if needed
  • Any vet-prescribed shampoo you'd like us to use

Where will the van park?

We usually park in your driveway or along the curb directly in front of your home. For apartments, condos and gated communities, we coordinate visitor parking or loading zones. Steep or narrow driveways are common in the hills, so we'll choose a safe, level spot nearby if needed. Just share details when booking.

Please tell us about HOA rules, permits or construction near your home.

How long does mobile grooming take?

Appointment length depends on your dog's size, coat type and condition, and the service booked. A bath and brush for a small short-coated dog is quicker than a full groom for a large doodle. Nervous dogs may get extra breaks. We'll share an estimated time when you book and give you an arrival window.

Traffic and earlier appointments can affect arrival times, so we confirm windows ahead of time.

What should I do after the groom?

After the groom, let your dog relax and enjoy their fresh coat. Brush a few times a week, especially doodles and long coats, to keep mats away. Check paws and ears after outdoor walks, and dry your dog well after rain. Book your next appointment so your dog stays on a regular schedule.

  • Brush regularly between grooms
  • Check ears and paws after hikes, especially in foxtail season
  • Dry thoroughly after rainy walks
  • Rebook every 4–8 weeks depending on coat
